my life is so exciting: i got a library card

When I moved to Philadelphia I got my first library card ever. Except when I was little and didn't know anything.

I got into reading when I got married, moved and had no friends within 100 miles (Valerie was the 100 mile mark, the rest were 1,000 away).

I decided I was going to get a library card in every city we moved to.

And then we got to Phoenix and they charged you $40 if you weren't a resident. No thank you, Phoenix. I don't like reading that much.

Today I went and got my Colorado library card.
But all the books I want are out.
Isn't that life...

So now I need some recommendations. Preferably young adult novels. I like easy pool reads.
You have to start somewhere.

kisses.

"Hunger Games" (if you haven't read them you need to, like NOW!) "The Host" It's by the same person who wrote Twilight, but much better (in my opinion.) It's a thick book but pretty easy to get through.

How fun ! I need to get one, it's such a good idea for the amount of books I read :)

I go to the library often. I don't always get fiction, though, because I'm a dork! Haha. I can't believe they charged in Phoenix! A big city! In Atlanta, the free library card includes borrowing e-books! Loving that on my kindle -- well I will, once I figure out how to use it... haha

P.S. I had NO idea they were doing new things with Arrested Development! I thought it was just 3 seasons and was perplexed as to why something with such high ratings only has 3 seasons! Thanks for updating me ;)

hooray! We just moved to a new city last week, and a library card is next on my list! Try the Glass Castle, I really enjoyed it. I have had good recommendations of These is My Words, I picked it up, but haven't started reading it yet...
