there's always time to play.

I've been busy since I've been home. My parents have put me to work, which I enjoy because it's just so much more fun and easier working at my parents shop than working alone on a computer 1,000 miles away.

But in between working and enjoying all the new shows piling up on my parents DVR I have had some time to hang out with my nephews. Of course.
We've done a lot of playing, eating, and hair cutting (it was Pryce's first American haircut, he was not into it).

done. Yay Kori and Colin!

It's no surprise that I love taking pictures when I'm with my friends and family, I love documenting my life. When I was in college I used to say "lets make it a 100 photo night" on random Tuesday nights. I have more pictures of my friends and family than I know what to do with.

So for those of you who want to see tons and tons of pictures of the great dancing wedding reception keep on clicking.

And if you are my facebook friend then expect to either see these pictures filling your feed.

And thanks Cathy for pointing out that these pictures were taken sober. We really are just this much fun.
Special thanks to paparazzi Patsy and Erin for documenting most of the night!

 Congrats to Kori and Colin!

Also, now you can expect the next couple of posts will be picture overload of my nephews since I'm in Oklahoma for a few more days!

But if you want normal posts hop on over to All of the Stuff!

And some more...

Continuing on with more pictures from the weekend I thought I would just post the normal party pics and then really lay it on with the dancing pics in a separate post.

Because those are the good ones.

So here you go.

Wedding Weekend #2

Pre walk-down-the-aisle getting ready pics...
Bridesmaids in our gold.
I got to walk bak down the aisle with the groom's nephews and they were adorable little boys!
And of course we had to send Kori off down the aisle with our usual sorority girl Theta kite pose!

Up next. The rehearsal. Which might have to be two posts because we (paparazzi Patsy and paparazzi Erin) took so many dancing pictures...

Wedding Weekend # 1.

The wedding is over and considering how I'm trying to recover from all the fun, I can't imagine the bride and groom right now! I took over 350 pictures so instead of one giant post, I think I'm going to break it up.

First things first, we had to rehearse the wedding! So we all gathered at the church and then hit up the dinner at a fun local BBQ joint!
The food was tasty and the company was great.
Fun meal #1 celebrating the couple!

We tried to go to bed early because we woke up and had a delicious bridesmaid brunch.
Kori gave us hot little robes and of course we had to wear them in the restaurant!

Next up, getting ready and pre-walk down the aisle partying!

Kori is getting married!

Have you ever had a friend that you can actually remember the moment that you met?

I have one. And she is getting married this weekend!

We met our freshman year at Oklahoma State University. Kori and I were in the same pledge class (Kappa Alpha Theta PC '04) and we met at our very first sorority meeting. She has a last name starting with Q and I was R so we were sitting next to each other, and it was instant love from the beginning.
Some might say there were even tears when we met.

I thought I would bust out the super old pictures and embarrass us all a little bit.
Because who doesn't love a trip down memory lane.
All these pictures are somewhere between freshman year fall 2004 and summer 2005.

God placed her in my life at such the perfect moment.
I needed a friend. She was my partner in crime. We were always up to something awesome. We were hilarious. We are still hilarious. She has been there for me from the beginning and I'm so thankful for her.

We have come such a long way since college.
I'm flying home to Oklahoma tomorrow for the nuptials and I'm so excited she is going to be a married lady!
And bonus, her new last name will be a W, same as mine! Which means one day our babies might just stand in line together too!

Congrats Kori, you deserve all the happiness in the world!

kisses.

p.s. I'm actually staying for about 2 weeks. I have a double nephew birthday party and another wedding while I'm there! I'll see you in the greatest state ever.

The Bryants take the burbs.

**This is a warning. There is an overload of pictures in this post.**

We picked up the Bryants Friday night at the bus station in Philadelphia and our first stop was, of course, Chili's.
These two live in NYC so chain restaurants or anything that is a reminder of home is hard to come by. So we try to give them all the goodness of the suburbs.

We woke up Saturday morning and dragged the boys to yoga...
 And then hit up Chick-fil-A.
We hardly ever eat out or that much greasy goodness so it was quite the treat for us too!

To my Pretty Little Liars fans out there this might be interesting to you, for the others, probably not.
So in PLL the show takes place in a town called Rosewood, PA. Well the actual town that the books and show is based on is Rosemont, PA. Even thought it's filmed in LA, we knew that we had to go find this little town 30 minutes away.

We found a church that we will chose to believe was the church where everything goes down.
We found the bell-tower...

There was also a weird little festival thing going on at "Hollis", aka Rosemont College.
Our husbands are good men. They went along and humored us while we squealed at everything!

We were on our way to find a cemetery, and the only restaurant in Rosewood, but when we turned right we were immediately stuck in the middle of a Villanova football game traffic. The boys were getting bored so we kept driving until we found an apple orchard. Because who doesn't want to go pick apples.
We also picked peppers and egg plants!

Besides fruit and veggies to pick, this place was also full of entertainment.
And, it was free to enter. Awesome.

When we finally got home, we made a huge feast of food, put on comfy clothes and watched 80's zombie-like movies.

*Not pictured: Valerie driving to the store so she doesn't forget how to drive a car and a trip to Target.

Love living close to them. Wish we could have fun weekends like this more!

kisses.

Our first visitors!

I'm pretty excited for the weekend.
The Bryants are coming to see us in the suburbs of Philly!

We plan on doing all the things that you do in the suburbs. Like eat and watch movies and stuff.

(picture circa fall 2007, don't we look awesome)

I don't know where I live

Sometimes I wake up and I don't know what state I'm in.
It takes me a few seconds to remember where I am currently living.

I think we move too much.

* this is one of my favorite students in China, Winter. She woke us up at 5:00 am to watch the sunrise over the Bohai Sea. This picture has no relevance to this post except they both are about waking up.

Mindy makes me laugh.

It's no surprise I love TV.
And I really love TV when they premier new shows early. It feels like it's a special showing just for me.

Well it just so happens that special showing is happening with a new fall show I am looking forward to.

The Mindy Project is available to watch on On Demand (if you don't have this fancy cable feature you aren't really living) and on Hulu.
I love Mindy Kaling, her book was hilarious and insightful.  I thought the pilot was a lot like her book. I laughed more than three times.

Apparently that's how I rate if a show if funny or not. I have to laugh at least three times.

So, go give it a watch before it airs on TV September 25th.

No big deal. I'm just hanging out with real people.

My new friends are awesome.
They have welcomed me to their work out group and have included me outside the gym.

One of the girls, Linda, had a birthday this week and us gals went out to eat to celebrate her!
Such a great thing here...
I now see another human in the daylight besides my husband AND they are making me go to the gym. That's a pretty big thing, me in a gym...

What a blessing they are.

Labor Day.

Our Labor Day weekend was rainy. We were going to go down the 'shore' (the Jersey shore), golf, have a picnic,  but it was too wet for any of that. Instead we had a rainy BBQ with some friends in our old neighborhood, Fishtown.

It makes me excited to have a grill and be able to entertain friends.
One day.

Hope you all had a great Labor day too!

hiking with my new friends.

It's no surprise that I'm usually pretty bored and lonely while Marshall is working.
I have never been into working out mostly because I have a hard time motivating myself.  The apartment complex has a gym and they offer a few free classes. I went to a body toning class and the instructor convinced me to come back for yoga on Saturday morning. Marshall had to work, so I had no excuse not to. I went and am good thing I did!

After the class the instructor and a few girls from class were going hiking. I didn't know you could hike in Philadelphia but there is a huge park, Fairmount Park, pretty close by that they go to. I tagged along for my first adventure with my new work out friends.
It was me, the instructor Audrey who kicked my butt, Linda who has a 13 year old son who kicked my butt, and Eliza who is a few years older than me who kicked my butt.
They all kicked my butt into shape.
In the woods and in the gym.

This park is crazy. I had no idea where we were or what was going on. There was a restaurant with a wedding going on, boys jumping off trees, families having a BBQ and my new friend Linda bought a bucket of popcorn half way through at the snack bar.
She is hilarious. Like, I want to hang out with her everyday.

It might surprise you all but I have a hard time hanging out with people I don't know.... but I'm so glad that I went. And I am happy to say that I look forward to going to cardio boot camp class this week because I know I have 3 friends who will be there to motivate me.

kisses.
