an oldie but a goodie

A year a half ago I watched this video daily. I found myself talking like this creepy little girl. I quoted it whenever I could fit it into a sentence. Annoying, I know. But this video just never got old.

And it's back.

Back into my life again.

kisses.

happy birthday wifey

Today is the day we pack up and ship out. Back to OKC. That is allll we have been doing this week. Driving from one place to the other.

We couldn't leave town without a visit to the Quiz.
It's amazing how you crave something daily after not having it for a year.

On our road trip back to the City we made a pit stop at a few famous landmarks.
Pops on Route 66
A giant pop bottle in the middle of nowhere. Sure? Why not!?

And of course right down the street from Pops, The Round Barn.
Who says Oklahoma doesn't have a lot to offer!?

We made another stop at Braums, and headed back to Kylie's house to hang out with her family for a while before heading to McNellie's for Kori's b-day din din! Hey birthday is on Friday but she is road tripping to Colorado tomorrow... so tonight... we celebrate!

It was so fun meshing Oklahoma and China.

Such a fun group of people!

Happy 25th birthday Whori Kori! Thank you for letting us all celebrate with you!

After dinner Kevin wanted to go on an "after dinner walk"
We have missed our ADWs since China so we gladly accepted this request.
So we took them to Bricktown to have our walk.
Having them in Oklahoma has been such a blast! They now can see that Oklahoma is full of a lot more than just cows. They head back home tomorrow, and then in 2 weeks off to China for another amazing year. Keep them and the rest of this year's team in your prayers.

They are going to do some incredible things this year.

kisses.

Bueno es Bueno

We woke up, went to church, and then out on the town. We stopped at Eskimo Joe's
So the boys could meet Joe and Buffy.

I know how much they were wanting to.... no.

We headed to The Hideaway to meet my fam.
These 2 can't keep their hands off eachother.

After a huge meal we went home and had ice cream.
And I gave the grandparents their anniversary gift from China. Wedding bowls.

I'm the favored grandchild for sure now!

We were lazy and watched TV most of the afternoon and then we were ready to eat again. That's all we do here. Eat.
After a meal at Taco Bueno (the guys don't have Bueno where they live, how horrible I know) we headed to the Tower's house to say bye to Matthew.
My oldest friend in the world, Matthew heads to Iraq soon and this was going to be my last chance to say bye to him.

Sad day.
But swimming and these ladies make me happy!

It's fun merging my lifelong friends with my Chinese friends.

kisses.

the wedding of the year

Kara got married a few weeks ago in Oklahoma. Her precious new Korean family flew to Oklahoma to enjoy Braums, horses, and Bass Pro. And the wedding ceremony. Of course.

Today was the reception with family and friends. The reason Tim and Kevin flew all this way! We were pretty excited to get to Tulsa and see the famous couple.
And so we went.

The reception was at The Silo in Tulsa. A beautiful unique and charming event venue. VERY Kara Blain Peter.

Bridezilla? No way!

There was a photo booth.
Photo booths = instant excitement.
See. Kevin had fun alone.

The whole room was inspiring. And put together with so much thought. And that is Kara. Thoughtful and inspiring.
They had folded thousands of cranes and hung them from branches on the tables and around the room.
She had notes from students, and paper hearts strung around the room. She sewed the papers together.

Talent. Patience. Incredible.

She had a dessert table full of cookies and brownies.
They served ice cream.

And shots of milk.

This screamed Kara and Peter.

Cathy and Kori drove from OKC, in traffic, to make it to this famous celebrity bloggers reception!

Kevin's giant phone. Making an apperance at the wedding.

Can you guess who is who?

We had such a good time taking pictures, being goofy, and just enjoying getting to be apart of this beautiful event.
Cathy of course wanted her picture with the happy couple.
And with the whole family...

And we all wanted our picture with Kara.
She's a celebrity!

Senior pics.

What a beautiful couple.
I'm so excited to see where the Lord leads them.

After the reception we headed to Kara's parents house for some extra hang out time.
We aren't ready to say bye to them just yet.

We had burgers.
Sat outside.
Made new friends...
Like Hannah. Kara's bestie. I read her blog. She reads mine. Now we are real life friends.

I love the internet.

And I love how God and China has brought us all together.

And if Kevin and Tim would never have gone to China, they would have probably never have come to Oklahoma. AND therefor would probably never have gone to BRAUMS!
Braums makes dreams come true.

What a blessing to get to spend time with my Chinese family again.
God is so good.

kisses.
