i love a sooner. how did this happen??

Game Day. Better yet, Bedlam.

Wait, Bedlam with Marshall.

House Divided.

Thanks to these two and their generous offering of 2 tickets we were able to go to our very first Bedlam game together.

We still had a great time even though the Sooner band played "Boomer Sooner" 68 times. Seriously OU, next time why don't you branch out. Oh wait, you only know 2 songs and you SUCK!

Boz was dressed as a Ninja to fight the cold. Russell just smiled at her with loving "this crazy ninja is carrying my child" eyes.

After what was the most emotional 3 minutes in any football game ever played... we lost, we cried, we left.

And then we headed to the hot dogs. All the excitement and disappointment from the game made us hungry.
We saw fights, we saw a girl handcuffed walking with her boyfriend, and we saw drunk people. Always a pleasure on the Strip.

Marshall and I survived our first "House Divided" football game. Next year my team is going to win. He pinkie promised.

sorry, that is not an acceptable word

Thanksgiving.
Family. Food. Thankfulness.
Photo shoot with baby J.

I really like him.

I really like my family.

Usually on Thanksgiving after we eat we might play a game. This year was the same... except instead of playing a game together, we all just sat there and played Words With Friends on our iphones.

10 people in a room all playing against each other, no one talking, or working together. lame or awesome? or sad? maybe a little big of all 3.

And maybe the best pic from the day...
Kiner disgusted by Marshall's leftover turkey leg.

I love meat.

what will they think of next?

My mom found this in one of our catalogs at work. She said it reminded her of something Cathy would use...

A MAGNETIC KOOZIE! You can stick it to your car while you unlock your door.

wedding favors anyone?

milk and cereal

It's funny. I used to crave the berries everyday in China. My mom would mail me boxes of cereal. I would eat it everyday until there was nothing left.

Today was the first day I have had The Crunch since I've been home.

It's interesting the things we crave when we're far away.

don't leave your kid with us.

We babysat tonight.

Cell phone entertainment.

And... we did this one for our own entertainment...

(we are horrible)

I'm so sorry Jett. But you do make a very handsome girl.
We just couldn't resist. We need baby girls in our lives.

speaking of.... my brother and sis-in-law in Virginia are having a GIRLLLLL!!!!!!! I won't have to dress Jett up like a girl! We are VERY excited for the arrival of Baby Girl Reeves in April! Dawson and Stratton are going to have a baby sister!

twenty something is more like forty something or something

If you are reading this and you did not attend or ever visit the Oklahoma State University campus then you might not find this post the least bit entertaining.

Also, I might be the only one that didn't know this. I can still use the excuse "I've been in China"... right?

So you know the trusty Kerr-Drumond dorm?
The old, pee smelling dorm? The awesome Pistol Pizza, Taco Mayo, and Twenty Something convenient store where we all used all of our meal plan money to stock up on Burt's Bees and Christmas presents? You know the place.

But if you walked in there today, you wouldn't even know where you were.

Today, I went back to college.
Keagan, a girl who works for the parentals, has a meal plan. She mentioned Which Wich on campus. WHAAAA??? We don't have one of those in Stillwater on campus. WAIT. YES WE DO!

And she still has lots of $$$ left on her meal plan. SCORE.

So we loaded the car and headed to Kerr-Drumond for some Which Wich.
The nasty cafeteria that once was, is no longer there.
We all kept trying to talk like we were in college. Tests, sleeping in, parties, no responsibilities, we felt kind of lame.

I miss college. But maybe I just miss my friends.

After lunch I partied with this kid.

I can't imagine what college will be like when it's his turn.

BTW. Twenty Something is HUGE, it takes up pretty much the entire 1st floor. You can buy fruits and veggies there. Pistol Pizza is no more. Along with Taco Mayo. No more.

Kids these days are so spoiled. They don't even know it.

kisses.

once it starts, it doesn't stop.

I think I might have a problem.

And no, it doesn't include Dawson's Creek. That obsession is in the past.

It's worse.

Ask anyone. Does Heidi cry a lot? Yes. And more now than ever before.

Crying in public is never attractive. Never.
And I guarantee that the day of my wedding I will be crying. Tears of joy of course. But it will be ugly crying. The whole "bitter beer face" look. And that just isn't pretty. I don't want that captured on film for a lifetime.

So how do we stop it? How do we contain the tears?

My cousin, and Matron of Honor, told me how she stopped her tears from overpowering her face and frightening the groom on her wedding day.

Laughter.
So take this as your warning: I might just be laughing down the aisle.

But would you really expect anything else?

kisses.

it's baby time.

I want to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to The Friske's
No, no they didn't just get married, that was 3 plus years ago.. This is just the only picture of the 3 of us that I have... how sad. We should really work on taking a more updated pic.

They are having a baby!!!!!!! And I am SOOO excited!!
I have been extremely blessed by our friendship. The amount of love and energy that you and Russell pour into your relationships shows just how incredible the 2 of you will be at parenthood. And you are going to be the cutest pregnant lady!

I can't wait to watch the little sprout grow up!

You will be two of the most fun, energetic, loving parents I know. Congrats!

Follow their blog as they start this new stage in their life!

p.s. Thanks for being a witness of a Godly marriage, you have such a huge impact on everyone around you, and it never goes unnoticed.

(all pictures are AT LEAST 3 years old. I'm loving the oldies)

kisses.

if only women wrote instructions...

Instead of going to the game Megan and my mom built a nightstand.
Megan's mom, Kary, told them she would pay them $20 AND a bottle of wine.

Done.
And done.

kisses.
